Until That Day

UNTIL THAT DAY MISSION is working for real change through prophetical, artful and collective consciousness-raising efforts that will manifest in THAT DAY, when lasting peace, world citizenship, and the rule of international morality are believed, relentlessly pursued and celebrated by all for the manifestation of The Kingdom of God on earth. Music, the true universal language, is our method and weapon. An imminent shift is happening now and the Kingdom of God is upon us!

THE UNTIL THAT DAY MINISTRY is deeply rooted in the speech by

to the United Nations on October 6, 1963

“That until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned: That until there are no longer first-class and second class citizens of any nation; That until the color of a man’s skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; That until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race; That until that day, the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship and the rule of international morality will remain but a fleeting illusion, to be pursued but never attained” (Haile Selassie I).

The vision of THAT DAY is rather simple in nature. THAT DAY embodies a world where money and power are no longer the standard by which we judge our success; but where love is the standard that puts money and power to shame. Love is the way toward classlessness, where there are no longer upper, middle, or lower-class citizens. Love leads us toward true gender equality in every region of the world by seeing fellow humans instead of seeing man and woman. Love is the conduit to an existence where the role of the teacher is rewarded more than that of the businessman or the politician, where the importance of trash collector is of equal weight to that of the policeman or the fireman. Love ultimately leads us to compassion.

Compassion helps us see the issues facing the lands of the east, west, north and south as being of equal priority to each other. Compassion is the path to an actuality where every person is presented with employment that fills the soul with joy; for the choice is not based upon any wage, salary or the false notion of “security”, the choice is based on supporting passion, inspiration and community. Compassion is the channel to a world where every person is offered access to the best of any and every thing; where the best education, health care, food, clothing and shelter is provided to every person.

Compassion is the force that manifests a life where crime has all but disappeared on a global scale; where political and financial corruption at the international, regional, national, state and local level results in punishment equal to the effect of that corruption on its community; and where a culture of fear is decimated by a culture of trust. Compassion eradicates the unhealthy rift between the haves and the have-nots.

Through compassion, we work toward an age where armed forces are no longer deployed for death and destruction, but for creation; where instead of the deployment of tanks, there is deployment of tractors; where instead of gun proliferation, there is a proliferation of hand tools, instruments and art supplies; where instead of dropping bombs that annihilate communities, we plant seeds that generate community growth; where instead of machinery that brings about mass destruction, there is machinery that brings mass construction. With compassion, no longer will there exist a military that inflicts devastation, but armies that nurture liberation; where all who enlist have the opportunity to truly become self-actualized in the most noble sense of serving the human community, not as ‘soldiers of fortune’, but as soldiers for the less fortunate.

THAT DAY will be realized when the peace within oneself mirrors one’s local and global community; for without peace within oneself, we cannot have peace within and between tribes, communities, and nations. THAT DAY begins now and in every moment forward. With love, compassion and determined commitment to this ideal vision, THAT DAY will reach its zenith. And UNTIL THAT DAY, our daily mantra is UNTIL THAT DAY.

“Yet, this is the ultimatum presented to us: persuade men that their salvation rests in the subordination of national and local interests to the interests of humanity, or endanger man’s future. This is the objective, yesterday unobtainable, today essential, which we must labor to achieve” (Haile Selassie I).
